SOA in today's global credit crunch

Today I went to a Conference in London on Service-Oriented-Architectures (courtesy of a free ticket from the organisers because I am a Speaker for them). It was remarkable how all the Speakers were saying that SOA was the cure to all the problems of the global credit crunch !!!
